La semana pasada realice una sesión fotográfica en exteriores con la conocida artista erótica Elena Kramer, que ha aparecido en diversas revistas como Interviú, Primera línea, etc.
La meteorología no ayudo mucho ya que a pesar de hacer un día bastante soleado con nubes altas se giro un viento gélido que nos obligo a tomar las imágenes con la máxima rapidez posible. De manera que entre disparo y disparo tocaba poner el albornoz a la modelo. Transmitir la idea, medir la luz, sacar albornoz, hacer disparo y poner albornoz. Así sucesivamente. Pero a pesar de este pequeño contratiempo todo fue muy fácil gracias a que Elena posaba fácilmente según las ideas que le transmitía.
Nos trasladamos hasta el lugar del shooting fotográfico con dos flashes de estudio, el reflector y mi recién comprada Batería Portátil LeadPower (de la que ya hable en un post anterior). Como estábamos trabajando en exteriores decidí aprovechar la luz solar al máximo así que en todo momento utilice tan solo tres fuentes de luz, la luz natural, un flash de estudio, y un reflector.

Last week we do a photo shoot on location with the known erotic artist Elena Kramer, who has appeared in several magazines as Interviú, Primera Linea, etc..
The weather did not help much because even though one day to mostly sunny with high clouds are turning a cold wind that forced us to take pictures as quickly as possible. So between shots played to the robe to the model. Convey the idea, measure light, take out the bathrobe, make shoot. Put on bathrobe. But despite this little hiccup everything was very easy thanks to facility of Elena posing the ideas that i transmited.
We moved to the site of photo shooting with two studio strobes, reflector and my newly purchased Laptop Battery LeadPower (of which we speak in a previous post). As we were working on location I decided to take advantage of sunlight so full at all times use only three sources of light, natural light, studio flash and a reflector.

Campaña de la UPP
El otro día en Facebook, encontré está tremenda campaña de la UPP, unión des photographers professionnels, en defensa de los derechos de los fotógrafos.

“Cada día, sus fotografías son utilizados por miles de personas (prensa, editores, publicistas, comunicadores) que actúan como si se hubieran encontrado las imágenes en el suelo.
Con esta imagen queremos representar una realidad económica violenta, grosera y irrespetuosa que están viviendo los fotógrafos”. UPP
Esta bien ver que hay fotógrafos y asociaciones que están perdiendo el miedo a decir y gritar a los cuatro vientos los problemas en los que se encuentran los fotógrafos de la actualidad.
Aquí en España Tino Soriano creo un grupo muy interesante llamado STOP CLÁUSULAS ABUSIVAS A LOS FOTÓGRAFOS. Desde el cual ya se han conseguido algunos objetivos. Y lo más importante que es unir i concienciar al colectivo fotográfico.
No obstante será difícil que los medios gráficos españoles como la prensa dejen de robar fotografías a los fotógrafos. La razón es simple. La ley de copyright que protege nuestros derechos es una desfachatez, está desfasada, y no nos protege. Es tan triste que el coste de robar una fotografía, no viene acompañada de una indemnización por daños y perjuicios. El medio que haya hecho el robo tan solo deberá abonar la tarifa habitual del uso de la publicación. Paco Elvira tiene un artículo muy interesante en su blog titulado “El Mundo usa sin permiso una foto de Martín Sampedro en una portada. Por que se piratean fotos impunemente en España” donde nos explica un caso real sobre el robo de imágenes en España. Echarle un ojo, ya que no tiene desperdicio.

Is great see that photographers and associations are losing their fear to say and shout from the rooftops the currently problems experienced by photographers today.
The photographer Tino Soriano started a very interesting group called STOP CLÁUSULAS ABUSIVAS A LOS FOTÓGRAFOS. From which have already achieved some goals. and most importantly is that this group has achieved a greater unity in the group of Spanish photographers.
Nevertheless it will be difficult for Spanish print media such as newspapers stop stealing pictures from the photographers. The reason is simple. Copyright law that protects our rights is a nerve, is outdated and does not protect us. It’s so sad that the cost of stealing a photograph, not accompanied by compensation for damages. The medium that has made the theft only be charged standard rates for the use of the publication. The photographer Paco Elvira has a very interesting article on his blog entitled “The World uses without permission a photo of Martin Sampedro on a cover. For photos that are pirated with impunity in Spain,” which explains a real case about stealing pictures in Spain. Take a look, is really interesting.

Las fotografías que realice en las “15 primaveras” me motivaron para empezar un nuevo reportaje de escalada sobre la Cara sur de Monserrat. Así que me dirigí con Pau Gete a la zona de la izquierda para realizar fotos de la super-crack, y de los 7b que se encuentran a su derecha. Aquí os dejo una de las imágenes de esta tranquila zona con Pau apretando en el 7b de mas a la derecha del cual desconozco su nombre.

The pictures that i was taking “15 primaverass” motivated me to start a new story of climbing in the south face of Montserrat. So I headed to Pau Gete to the area on the left of the super-crack for photos, and 7b that are on the right side. Here you have one of the images in this quiet area with Pau in the 7b of the right, that i do not know his name.

El otro día navegando por internet fui a parar a la página web el parlante amarillo. Un sitio web sobre música, cultura y con muchos videos. Una página con contenidos muy interesantes y además en la que si te registras te permite interactuar con sus contenidos pudiendo subir videos en la sección cabeza parlante.
En la Sección ONDAS del site encontré una entrevista realizada al increíble fotógrafo Eugenio Recuenco. En está entrevista de tan solo 3:36 minutos, Eugenio nos explica rápidamente sus inicios en la fotografía. Porque empezó a tomar fotografías, su paso a la fotografía de moda y de donde proviene gran parte de su inspiración, la pintura, el cine, y la literatura.

Ya hace mucho tiempo que me mantenía alejado de la fotografía de escalada y por mi interior había una vocecita que me pedía a gritos un poco de fotografía en la vertical.
Así que aprovechando que tenia que acabar una vía que habíamos empezado a abrir Raúl Sauco y yo en la Cara Sur de Monserrat, organizamos el día con la idea de hacer cima, fijar una cuerda estática y tomar fotos.
En este último día de aventura nos acompañó Iñigo Carasa, tanto para asegurar como para probar la vía, mientras yo me colgaba para tomar las fotografías.

Returning to old ways. Opening and shoothing in “15 primaveras”
For a long time I stayed away from climbing photography and had a little voice inside me that I was crying a great picture in the vertical.
So I had to finish a new route with Raul Sauco on the South Face of Monserrat, and we organized the day with the idea of arrive at top, set a static rope and take pictures. Full and funny day.
On this last day of adventure come with us Iñigo Carasa , both to ensure and to test the route, while I was hanging on the rope to take pictures.

Hace ya un par de meses inicie una serie de imágenes de fotografías deportiva con la temática del running.
Realice casi todas las imágenes aprovechando la luz natural al máximo y en alguna de ellas utilice la luz del flash de reportaje como luz de relleno.
Trabajar con equipo ligero es muy práctico ya que te asegura libertad de movimiento, pudiendo moverte rápidamente para cambiar encuadres, y cambiar de una localización a otra sin tener que mover un gran equipo, solo tu mochila, tú y el modelo. Es una manera de trabajar más dinámica que obliga a estar un poco mas pendiente de la luz natural pero realmente los resultados que se pueden obtener son estupendos.

English versionOne couple of months ago i initiate a series of images of sports photographs with the theme of running.
I take almost all the images with natural light and some of them use the flash light as fill light report.
Working with natural light ensures you freedom of movement and can move quickly to change frames, and switch from one location to another without having to lift a great team, just your camerak, you and the model. It is a more dynamic way of working that requires to be a little more aware of natural light but really the results obtainable can be great.

Antes de navidades recibí un encargo para trabajar en exteriores. Necesitaba tres flashes para trabajar en exterior, en la playa de Sitges. Así que me lance a buscar equipos de alquiler.
Las primeras opciones en equipos de alquiler que encontré eran equipos completos, generador, cabezal y los complementos que necesites, paraguas, etc. Pero claro yo ya tenia dos flashes de estudio, lo único que necesitaba era alquilar un generador para mis flashes Elinchrom y un flash a parte con generador. Así el presupuesto bajaría un poco.
Rebuscando, y haciendo mil y una llamadas conseguí alquilar un generador genérico Leadpower LP-750 que realmente funciono a la perfección. Además se le puede enchufar desde un portátil, a un foco de luz continua, flashes de estudio o cualquier cosa que se pueda enchufar a la corriente. Siempre que no superemos los 750 w. Y además dispone de tres entradas. Así que si los dispositivos que utilizamos no tienen demasiada potencia, podremos enchufar 3 cosas a la vez. También alquile un flash Bowens con su Travelpak (que funciono de maravilla).
Ahora han pasado uno días y me estoy decidiendo a hacer la inversión, ya que la verdad disfrute mucho trabajando con flashes profesionales en exteriores, así que en cuanto acabe enero voy a hacerme mi auto regalo de Cumpleaños. Una Leadpower.
Cuando haya hecho pruebas con ella, y algunos shootings, intentare postear las impresiones que me da, sus limitaciones, sus características reales. Ahora solo puedo decir que el shoot que hice fue largo, da casi unas 800 fotos, y aguanto casi hasta el final. Unas 700, combinando uso, de un flash, dos, y diferentes potencias.

Before Christmas I received a commission for working outdoors. Three flashes needed to work outside on the beach in Sitges. So I started the quest for rental equipment.
The first choices in rental equipment that were found complete equipment, generator, head and accessories you need, umbrellas, etc.. But of course I already had two studio flash units, all I needed was to rent a generator to my Elinchrom strobes and flash with the generator a part. So the budget would drop a little.
Digging, and doing a thousand of calls I get for rent a generic generator called LP-750 Leadpower really worked to perfection. You may also be plug from a laptop, a continuous light source, studio flashes or anything that can be plugged into the mains. Provided they do not overcome the 750 w. And it has three entrances. So if the devices we use do not have too much power, we can connect 3 things at once. Also I rent a flash Bowens with his Travelpak (which works great).
Now one days have passed and I am deciding to make the investment, since the truth I really enjoyed working with professional flashes outdoors, so when January ends I make my self birthday present. A Leadpower LP-750.
When I will tested it better, I will try posting the impressions I get, their limitations, their actual characteristics. Now I can only say that in the shoot that I do, that was long, gives almost about 800 photos, and stand almost to the end. About 700, combining use one flash, two, in diferents powers.
